Overview
At IMS we believe that every child is a special person, unique, full of talents and potential! Together with their teachers young children, explore their environment and learn about their world through playful discovery and relationships with peers, teachers, family and community members. At IMS we believe that a child’s extended environment is his second teacher.
Each class is taught by two teachers (Greek / English Language)
Classroom teachers “look ahead” to identify what kind of challenges can stimulate and inspire each child’s inquiry and thinking. Our students self-direct their own learning. They identify problems, experiment and try to solve them, using their knowledge.
Alongside the Greek language, the child comes into everyday effortless contact with the English language. The goal for the child is to love English and to integrate it naturally into language development. Emphasis is placed on rhythm and pronunciation.
The children’s daily program includes:
- Orff music-motor training
- Theatrical team play
- Rhythmic gymnastics
- Swimming
- Music pre-education
- Theatrical game
