TRAVELLING FOR RESEARCH, RECREATION, FURTHER EDUCATION, AND COUNSELLING
As an International School that follows the IB Curriculum, the pupil, as a researcher, must get as close as possible to what actually happened during WWII worldwide, understanding primary and secondary sources and using them, in order to develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
To accomplish this, students are trained to examine meaning, context, point of view, purpose, bias, through travelling, for about 2-4 days, usually to:
MYP 2 (GRADE 7, 1st of Greek Gymnasium): PELOPONNESUS, KALAVRYTA
MYP 3 (GRADE 8, 2nd of Greek Gymnasium): MACEDONIA THESSALONIKI, FORT “ROUPEL”
MYP 4 (GRADE 9, 3d of Greek Gymnasium): CYPRUS MYP 5 (GRADE 10, 1st of Greek Lyceum): THRACE
Also, students travel abroad every year, in order to connect with other IB schools, work together, learn about cultures and history, bond with their school mates and have fun!
